The Usefulness of Guerrilla Advertising

If you are like the majority of small businesses, there’s never enough time or money.  Especially in terms of advertising.  You understand you have to advertise to build business, but it’s hard to advertise when money is tight.

This is where guerrilla advertising is available in.  Guerrilla advertising (sometimes known as “guerrilla marketing”) is all about using the resources you've at your disposal to create business.  These are generally things that may be a little off the beaten path of mainstream advertising, however they still prove highly effective if done properly.

Guerrilla Advertising is definitely an unconventional method of performing promotional activities. Usually very funny or subtle, it’s a terrific way to promote a small business with a low budget and generate buzz. But you’ll need lots of creativity.

I researched into Guerilla advertising/Ambient Media to help me with The Enviromental Oppurtunities brief. Here are a few examples that actually caught my attention.

This Mr clean Guerilla Ad would likely attract attention due to the cleanliness of that one line on the zebra crossing. It is a simple idea and it has an image of Mr clean on the edge of the line. The brightness of the line exhibits how good the product is.

This piece of ambient media is a promotion to the tv programme 'Trueblood' By the end of wood you can find sharp pieces that look like stakes you would use to kill a vampire. This advertisement is original and quite humorous. Going for a stake would enable viewers to remember about the programme 'Trueblood'

I truly love this piece of guerilla advertising because after i first saw this I believed that it was a noble and clever idea. The people walking across the image of a dog on a shopping centre floor act as fleas and advertises Frontline: Flea spray.

This Kill Bill Movie Release Promotion is realistic and quite scary. It really is shows the movies genre and this part of guerilla advertising will be remembered and gain fans.

This part of Guerilla Advertising is extremely effective. 'The faster you have, the faster you go'. If the control panel in a car looks like this, there would not be as much accidents traveling. A hard hitting, clever ad.
